Collar Park received a major upgrade in 2008. The park includes a covered pavilion to host picnics, family reunions, and other events. A childrens' playground is available along with tennis and vollyball courts.
A new restroom facility was included in the upgrade and is a replica of the old train station that was located where the railroad tracks split at Austell-Powder Springs Road.
