SPLOST 2011

On March 15, 2011 a referendum on a four-year SPLOST (Special Local Option Sales Tax) was approved by Cobb County voters. This program will be in effect from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2015.

Mission Statement

Every project funded by the 2011 through 2015 SPLOST will improve the quality of life in the City of Austell by maintaining, improving, and enhancing transportation (new equipment, new sidewalks, and roadway resurfacing), parks, infrastructure, and public safety.

Veterans Memorial Highway Sidewalk Connectivity

Scope of Work: To construct a concrete barrier and connect existing sidewalk under overpass.

Scope of Work: To install approximately 595 linear feet of 18” RCP storm drainage pipe along with all related appurtenances.

Cemetery Street Sidewalk Improvements

Scope of Work: Increase connectivity between Bowden Street and Veterans Memorial Highway, this project Included the installation of approximately 1,600 linear feet of new four foot wide sidewalk. Additionally, drainage pipe and ADA accessibility ramps was installed where needed.
