Councilwoman Sandra S. Leverette, serving on the City Council for her first time, serves the constituents of the Fourth Ward. Sandra and her husband, Andre Leverette have lived in Austell for the past 14 years.

As Councilwoman, Sandra’s goals are to work with City staff to see what strategies can be implemented, in order to bring business development to our downtown area. Sandra feels that by bringing new businesses to the downtown area, there would be a higher probability for increased employment opportunities, better paying jobs, increased tax revenues, and would instill a sense of “community” by providing a place that everyone can take their family to enjoy an evening out. Sandra says, “there is room for improvement in our wonderful City and I will work with the citizens to see how we can get this done.”

Sandra is excited to have been elected to serve on the City Council, and looks forward to working with the staff, citizens, and other organizations, while making the best decisions for the betterment of the City. Her motto is, ‘This is OUR city and YOUR voice’, and vows to will remain a true servant for the people.
